Women for Afghan Women
On September 11, 2021, a rare 1 of 1 photo from Afghanistan by award-winning creator Thomas Lee was minted on Foundation, titled Shahrbano.
This unique NFT will be listed for a charity auction on October 7, 2021, UTC. All proceeds will go to the NGO Women for Afghan Women (WAW) in a perpetual DeFi contract with Endaoment, a philanthropic platform that's handled over 2 million worth of crypto donations thus far.
WAW is the largest grassroots women and girls’ advocacy group with 20+ years of operations in Afghanistan. WAW plans to stay in the Taliban-ruled Afghanistan and continue its work of protecting, assisting, and empowering Afghan women and girls.
